Bruny Island Cheese Co. was started by owner Nick Haddow after he spent 10 years working with specialist cheese makers in many different countries around the world.
He and his partner Leonie settled on Bruny Island in Southern Tasmania in 2001 to start making cheese for themselves. They believe profoundly that the milk is what makes the cheese and therefore the good treatment of animals is paramount in this rural Tasmanian business.
Nick's passion, personality and professional integrity mean he is a regular sight on Australian television and a successful author, with his most recent book Milk Made aiming to spread his knowledge in a most handsome way.
Some years ago, Bruny Island Cheese Co took their first steps online, with their hugely successful Cheese Club offering cheese-lovers across the nation the opportunity to purchase handmade, limited-quantity cheeses and other artisanal local food items.
Here the team at the cellar door capture their visitors contact details on site, and then encourage them to purchase the products again via the online store.
For Bruny Island Cheese Co the online store allows them to sell their products across Australia, all from their cellar door.
Their customers love the ease of use of the Myfoodlink platform and the staff love the flexibility it offers them.
